Artist Bio: Singaporean artist Winnie Yip is a visual artist, illustrator, and toy designer working under the alias WINNIEYIPPIE. Her works explore concepts of self-identity, vulnerability, relationships, and feelings. The artist often considers the character an image of herself trying to accept coming of age. She is the creator behind this cute but angry, moody yet determined character named bubble butt girl (BBG).
Winnie completed her diploma at Nanyang Academy of Fine arts in 2016. Her work has been showcased by brands like LEVIS and Mercedes Benz. Her artworks have also been exhibited in Mulan Gallery (2016, Singapore), UltraSuperNew gallery (2020) as well as her solo exhibition at Canvas Creative Space (2017, Singapore).
Artwork Description: Emery kills with sweetness, she is from the BBG series (Bubble butt girls). Emery is manufactured in the bubblegum factory far far away, tucked in a quaint neighbourhood of Yippie's world. Every resin baby made is dispatched to fight alongside her other sisters in outta space.
